CHILD LABOUR: NO CHILD FOR SALE
When I was passing through my friend’s home, my eyes just strucked to that particular moment where small boys under 14 are working in a car repairing shop which made my brain seized with lots of questions in my mind… Why people are not stopping this activity? Why their parents are not supporting? Who will be responsible for their life? Now do you have answers to these questions….NO definitely you don’t have…
What I have seen there at repairing shop, that a boy under 14 was too small and skinny. His hair were messed up seems that he would not have been oiled for months. His shirt on his body was there just for namesake and his trousers did not fit him at all. He was standing expressionless just like an old stuffed boy. And he was just 12. They were literally mean by their innocent faces that-
“ABHI KARNI HAI HUME PADAI
MAT KARWAO HUMSE KAMAI”
These children are forced to work under inhuman conditions where their miseries know no end. This is their age of childhood where they don’t have to take tensions and bother about anything rather they should play, freely hangout and do their proper studies. Beware of these activities and –
“DON’T ASK CHILDREN TO TAKE TOOL, INSTEAD…SEND THEM TO SCHOOL”
“PADEGA INDIA..TABHI TO BADEGA INDIA”
The condition of children in India is only same as to what it was a couple of years ago. Poverty ridden India has not made much progress when it comes to eradicating child labour and that still remains a contested topic. Labour laws, upon being repeatedly altered have not left much room for relaxation in Child Labour Laws. Not many children in India are lucky enough to experience that phase of life one calls childhood. Having laws in place banning child labour has been of little or no effect and children continue to be exploited as cheap labourers. Implementation of these laws has been on the downside and hence child labour remains one of the crucial issues preventing India from reaching its full potential.
It is rightly said by KHALED HOSSEINI-“Children aren’t coloring books. You don’t get to fill them with your favorite colors.”This statement holds true for what is to follow… as we can’t force them or send them to different places to work just to fulfill our daily needs. This is just shameless situation we all are going through as we can’t follow or implement the laws once it was formed. We all need to change the mindset of rural people who ask their child to go and work. They have their own rights. Don’t do bad use of children.
“I WISH THAT EVERY CHILD GETS SUCH CHILDHOOD
AND
CHILDREN DON’T HAVE TO WORK FOR THEIR LIVELIHOOD”

Written beautifully....
